OwiraOwira Work

Intellectual Property & Software Licence

1. Purpose of this licence

This licence explains what a user may and may not do with Owira Work. Access to the application gives the user permission to use the official Owira Work service for its intended work and business-record purpose; it does not transfer ownership of the software, protected code, branding or original documentation.

2. Rights reserved to Owira Work

To the extent Owira Work/the Operator owns or controls the relevant rights, all rights not expressly granted to the user are reserved. This may include rights in original source and object code, original written documentation, original graphics and interface expression, the Owira Work name/logo and other protected material. A copyright or trade mark belonging to another person remains that person's property.

3. Limited end-user permission

Subject to these Terms, the user receives a limited, personal or internal-business, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable permission to install or access an authorised copy of Owira Work and use it for the app's intended functions. The permission is for use of the product, not acquisition of its intellectual property.

4. No copying for another app or upgrade

5. No unauthorised modification or distribution

Except as permitted by mandatory law or an applicable third-party/open-source licence, users must not reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, prepare derivative versions, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, extract source code, bypass technical restrictions, redistribute, republish, sublicense, sell, rent, lease, white-label or rebrand Owira Work or a protected part of it. Users must not distribute a modified APK, package, web build or other copy as though it were an official Owira Work release.

6. Official updates and upgrades

The preparation, authorisation and distribution of official Owira Work updates, upgrades, patches and branded derivative releases is reserved to Owira Work/the Operator and developers, contractors or other persons expressly authorised in writing by the Operator. An authorised person acts only within the written permission given to them.

7. Proprietary notices and identity

Users must not remove, obscure or falsify copyright, ownership, attribution or other proprietary notices where they are lawfully applied. Users must not falsely claim to own Owira Work protected material, falsely state that an unauthorised build is official, or use Owira Work branding in a manner that misleadingly suggests authorisation or affiliation.

8. Third-party and open-source material

Owira Work may include third-party libraries, services, names, marks or open-source components. Those materials remain subject to their respective owners' rights and applicable licences. Nothing in this licence is intended to take away rights that an open-source licence expressly grants, or to claim ownership of third-party material.

9. Ideas, methods and lawful exceptions

This licence protects Owira Work material only to the extent recognised by applicable law. It does not claim ownership of general ideas, business methods, facts, public-domain material or functionality that is not legally protected as Owira Work intellectual property. It also does not prohibit acts that applicable law expressly permits and does not allow to be excluded by contract.

10. Enforcement and termination

A serious breach of this licence may result in suspension or termination of the user's contractual permission to use Owira Work and may expose the person to remedies available under applicable law. Any enforcement action remains subject to mandatory legal rights and procedural requirements.

11. Ownership should be verified

Owira Work/the Operator claims rights only in material it owns or is authorised to control. Ownership can depend on who created material and any employment, contractor, assignment or licence arrangements. Before asserting ownership against another person, the Operator should retain development records and obtain professional advice where ownership is uncertain.
